About WPL Industries
WPL Industries BV is a Dutch company in Geldermalsen that designs and builds weighing systems. Its marine line covers motion-compensated scales, platform scales, catch registration and labelling and weighing software for fishing, offshore and research vessels, delivered to fleets across Europe, the Americas and beyond.
Who we are
WPL Industries BV designs and builds weighing systems. The company is based at De Iepenwei 14i, 4191 PD Geldermalsen, the Netherlands. WPL has two lines: industrial weighing, presented at wpl-industries.com, and marine weighing, presented on this site.
The marine line consists of motion-compensated scales for the fishing, offshore and research sectors, together with the systems and software that handle what happens after weighing:
- M2 Series marine bench scales, 6 to 400 kg;
- M3 Series scientific marine scales, 300 to 6000 g;
- M5 and M6 Series marine platform scales, 600 to 3000 kg;
- the R50 Catch Label System for catch registration and labelling;
- WeightControl software and the R10 Configuration Panel.
Engineered in Geldermalsen
WPL's marine scales are designed and built by WPL in Geldermalsen, drawing on experience in both weighing and the marine sector. The R10 indicator range links much of the product line: the M3 and M6 connect to R10 indicators, WeightControl runs on R10 scales and the Configuration Panel services R10 devices. The scales are built in stainless steel for wet, salty environments, and the scale, its configuration tool and its data software come from one supplier.

Where our scales are used
WPL has delivered to fishing and research fleets across Europe, the Americas and beyond. WPL marine weighing systems have been delivered to more than 50 countries worldwide; the export map on this site shows destinations from Norway, Iceland and the Faroe Islands to Alaska, Chile and the Falkland Islands. - Regulatory content is checked. Text about EU fisheries control and legal metrology is checked against the published legal texts on EUR-Lex and the relevant OIML recommendations and WELMEC guides. Where a point is uncertain, we leave it out rather than guess.
- Dated. Every article shows the date it was last updated. Regulations change, so check the date and the linked source before relying on a detail.
- Sober claims. We describe specifications and practical advice. We do not name competitors or make claims we cannot support.
