Description
WeightControl is WPL's weighing software for R10-based scales. It records every weighing, presents statistics in a browser and makes the data available to other software through CSV export and a JSON API. It can run inside the scale or as an external application that manages several scales.
Runs inside the scale
As an embedded package, WeightControl is installed inside the R10 scale itself, so no external PC or server is needed. To use it, connect a laptop or tablet to the scale's built-in access point and open a web browser. On the M2, M3, M5 and M6 series it is listed as the WeightControl IOT module option.
One system for multiple scales
WeightControl can also be installed as an external application. In that set-up it controls and monitors multiple scales from a single system. Access is through a web interface, so users work from any modern browser on a PC, laptop or tablet without installing client software.
Statistics and data logging
Every weight registered on the scale is recorded automatically in the WeightControl database. The statistics section shows recorded weights per preset and per selected period, so production totals and trends can be reviewed without manual tally sheets. The insights dashboard displays the weighing activity together with the related operational information. Weighing data logging explains what to record and why.
Logging matters for control purposes too. For example, EU rules require non-automatic scales used to weigh pallets of fishery products to keep at least an automatic or semi-automatic log (Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1932, Annex I, Part B, point 5). Export and API
Registration logs open in a PDF viewer on the web interface and can be downloaded directly. Data can also be exported as CSV for Excel and other third-party software. For system integration, the WeightControl API returns data in JSON, including:
- current weight, checkweigher status, stability indication and other real-time values;
- the active preset, with loading and editing of presets;
- the last registered log and all stored logs;
- operational commands such as Zero, Print and Tare.
