Description
The BPS is a stainless steel platform scale for industrial weighing where hygiene and regular cleaning matter. It is used with products such as fish, meat, dry goods and paint, and is offered in capacities from 3 to 150 kg. WPL Industries develops and builds the BPS in the Netherlands.
Hygienic stainless construction
The scale is made entirely of stainless steel and has IP65 protection, so it fits current hygiene and cleaning routines. The housing is cut with laser technology and has an open structure, designed so that water runs off instead of collecting inside the scale. For background, read IP ratings explained and stainless steel 304, 316 and 316L compared.
Capacities and weighing ranges
| Item | BPS |
|---|---|
| Capacities | 3, 6, 15, 30, 60, 150 kg |
| Weighing ranges | Single range, or dual range as a set-up option |
| Protection | IP65 |
| Material | Stainless steel |
Because its load cells are precise, the BPS can be configured as a dual-range scale, which gives a finer weight step in the lower part of the capacity. Capacity and readability explained helps you choose the right capacity for your heaviest load.
Indicator and mounting
The modular design lets the BPS be placed in different workstations. An indicator is optional and can be fitted to the scale directly or on a column. The BPS can be combined with an indicator such as the WPL R10 weighing indicator; indicators and labelling stations are listed under industrial indicators and labelling.
Verification and calibration
A verified version (EU M marking) is available as an option; NAWI and MID directives explained covers when verification applies. Every scale can be supplied with an EURAMET cg-18 calibration certificate as an option, as described in EURAMET cg-18 calibration.
