Description
BRS is WPL software for weighing, registering and labelling incoming and outgoing goods on industrial floor scales. It gives goods-in and dispatch departments a clear record of what enters and leaves the site, down to item, box and pallet level, and prints the matching labels straight after each weighing.
Automatic registration with every weighing
Each weighing creates a complete record: the weight, date and time, product information and any additional fields, such as batch number, temperature or carrier. A weighing list can be printed with a single key press for a physical check at the dock, or kept for digital archiving. See weighing data logging for what to record and why.
Labels from item to pallet
Next to the weighing list, BRS can print a label for every weighing at the level you need:
- Item label for individual items;
- Box label for collective units;
- Pallet label with an SSCC barcode for logistics traceability.
Label layouts are fully configurable and are filled automatically with the data from the weighing and the registration fields.
Your own registration fields
Extra fields are easy to add, so the registration follows your own goods-in procedure. Typical examples are:
- batch numbers;
- best-before dates;
- temperature on arrival;
- name of the carrier or supplier;
- customer- or product-specific parameters.
ERP link or standalone
BRS can be linked to your ERP system for real-time data transfer. It also works as a standalone solution, for companies or departments without direct ERP integration.
Suitable scales
A typical BRS set-up consists of a weighing indicator, a label printer and a floor scale. Suitable scales are, for example, the W Series floor scale and the PS pallet scale; the full range is in industrial scales. Every scale can be supplied with an EURAMET cg-18 calibration certificate as an option; see EURAMET cg-18 calibration.
Describe your goods flow, label requirements and ERP environment, and we will prepare a quote for BRS with a suitable scale.
