Description
The R10 Configuration Panel is the software used to calibrate, maintain and service R10 devices, including WPL marine scales. It gives service providers quick access to the data needed for maintenance and support, and it acts as a central point for configuration, diagnostics, backups and label design.
What the panel is for
A marine scale works in a demanding environment. After extended use at sea, or when a scale needs servicing or recalibration, the Configuration Panel makes that work straightforward. It is connected when needed and removed after use, so it does not have to stay on board as a permanent part of the installation. Maintenance crews can also use it to operate the scale during servicing.
The panel can save scale-related data for backup, so settings can be recovered in an emergency. Why regular checks matter, and who may adjust a scale used for official weighing, is explained in calibration and verification of marine scales.
Configuration and diagnostics
The panel shows the scale's internal settings, parameters and operating behaviour. Settings are organised in structured groups and include:
- rounding and capacity;
- stability count and display speed;
- marine filtering;
- and many further parameters.

Certain advanced settings should only be adjusted by trained personnel, because they affect scale performance and accuracy. Presets and logs
When the panel is connected to a scale, you can modify the preset data stored in the device. Any registered weight can be saved directly to the panel's logs while it is connected. Label design in ZPL
For scales with a connected printer, the panel lets you create and manage custom labels in ZPL, a widely used label printing language. It shows which label is currently loaded and includes a preview, so you can check a label before printing and waste less label stock. When the design is complete:
- connect the panel to the printer via USB and upload the label;
- assign the label to the correct preset;
- the system is ready to print.
