Description

The WPL1050 is a complete workstation for weighing and labelling prepacked food. A 15.6-inch full-HD touchscreen, an industrial Zebra ZT610 label printer and the WPL App software are built into one stainless steel column. The operator selects the product on the screen, places the pack on the scale and the label comes out of the printer, without separate systems or retyping. It is used by meat processors, fruit and vegetable packers, fish and dairy companies and retail packers.

Stainless steel column and touchscreen

The industrial panel PC and the printer are housed in a column of AISI 304 stainless steel with a hygienic design. It takes up 420 × 560 mm of floor space and is 950 mm high. The projected capacitive touchscreen has a splash-proof front and can be operated with gloves. A barcode scanner, WiFi and Bluetooth are available as options.

Labels and traceability

Products can be labelled by weight, per piece or by price. The station prints item labels with product name, net weight, best-before or use-by date, batch number, barcode or QR code and price; top and bottom labels for consumer and logistics information; and subtotal labels for boxes, crates and pallets with total count and weight. Batch numbers are generated automatically, shelf life is calculated per product, and the ℮ mark and the EC identification mark for animal products can be added. A graphic label designer handles logos, images, multilingual text and EAN-13, GS1-128, QR and DataMatrix codes. PLUs, label formats and users are unlimited.

The system is designed to support labelling under Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011; check the requirements for your products with your authority.

Scales, verification and calibration

The WPL1050 connects to weighing platforms from 1 to 1500 kg, from tabletop models to floor and pallet scales in the industrial scales range, with a second platform as an option. A verified version (EU M marking) is available as an option, and every scale can be supplied with an EURAMET cg-18 calibration certificate as an option; see EURAMET cg-18 calibration.

Software and integration

The WPL App runs standalone on the workstation or as a cloud solution across several sites. Products, ingredients, allergens and E numbers are managed centrally from any PC or tablet through the web interface. Links to ERP or point-of-sale systems use the API or Excel and CSV import and export.
