Description
WeightControl InOut is an in/out weighing module for WeightControl Base. It records incoming and outgoing loads, typically vehicles that enter a site, are weighed, unload or load, and are weighed again when they leave. InOut is an extension: WeightControl Base must already be installed or be ordered at the same time.
How in/out weighing works
A typical sequence at a recycling company with a weighbridge:
- The vehicle is registered on arrival.
- The first weighing is stored.
- After unloading or loading, the vehicle is weighed again on departure.
- The software calculates the net weight and links it to the customer.
The same applies to a private customer bringing in scrap metal that is weighed on a floor scale. Because the first and second weighings are linked automatically, nobody has to calculate differences or copy weights by hand. Each ticket holds an identification number, the customer, a description of the load and the direction (in or out); open tickets are listed and labels can be reprinted.
Weighbridges and floor scales
InOut is used with weighbridges for vehicles and with floor scales for bulk goods and smaller deliveries. Examples from the WPL range are the W Series floor scale and, for vehicles, portable vehicle weighing platforms. Other options are listed under industrial scales.
Recycling and logistics
Sites that handle waste streams or bulk goods deal with trucks arriving and leaving several times a day, different material streams per customer, and weights that have to be recorded accurately for invoicing and reporting. InOut keeps these records in one system instead of separate paperwork. It uses the same interface as WeightControl Base, so staff who already know Base need little extra training and vehicles can be handled quickly. Weighing data logging explains what to record.
Combining with other systems
InOut can be combined with self-service terminals, for example with number plate recognition, with access control for the site, and with data management systems for invoicing and reporting.
